First look: Bristol Palin and three-year-old son in promotional photograph for new reality show Life's a Tripp

Her reality show promised to feature 'a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world,' when it was announced earlier this year.

And, judging by a new promotional photograph, Bristol Palin's cute-as-a-button son Tripp will also be playing a major part in the forthcoming Lifetime programme, entitled 'Life's A Tripp.

The picture features the smiling daughter of Sarah Palin crouching down next to the blonde three-year-old who is equally cheery.

The show will chronicle Bristol and Tripp's journey from her hometown in Wasilla, Alaska to Los Angeles, where they move after Bristol lands a job with a non-profit organisation.

'I was game for it,' the 21-year-old tells TV Guide. 'I wanted to show how down-to-earth my family and I are.'

Initially, Bristol was due to star in a show with her Dancing with the Stars friend Kyle Massey and his actor brother, Chris, but the show failed to materialise.

And then Bristol's parents Sarah and Todd were 'sceptical' about Bristol appearing in her own show.

In February of this year, Magnolia Pictures' owner Mark Cuban (pictured above shaking the President's hand) attended a $30,000-a-plate fundraiser for President Obama where Cuban and our "first gay President" are reported to have "embraced warmly."

Less than three months later, and after the whole War on Women fiasco blew up in the White House's face, Magnet Releasing, a genre label owned by Cuban's Magnolia Pictures, published a request that readers "get out your guns" against Governor Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol:

Taking the lead offered by the revolting Bill Maher and the despicable Kathy Griffin, the Left goes after Bristol Palin. For what? For talking about how Obama shamelessly inserted his daughters into his “evolving” stance on gay marriage and for referencing the television show Glee.

“In this case, it would’ve been nice if the President would’ve been an actual leader and helped shape their thoughts instead of merely reflecting what many teenagers think after one too many episodes of Glee,” Palin wrote, referencing the popular television show about high schoolers.

For that, this beautiful young mother must be punished according to the Left. Those who offer lip service to anti-bullying (while embracing bullies) and who cry foul at the drop of a hat or the word slut (so bad, it requires a Presidential phone call) have no such qualms when it comes to Sarah Palin or her children.

Bristol Palin is following in her mother's footsteps, starring in her own reality show.

The daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be the focus of "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," a Lifetime docuseries that the network says will offer "an exclusive, rare glimpse into Bristol Palin's real life as a young single mother forging her own way into the world while living under the constant spotlight as a member of one of America's most high-profile families."

A Lifetime release said that the show will feature "never-before-granted access to Bristol's real-life experiences growing into womanhood," and will show her adjusting to life in Alaska, as she raises her toddler Tripp and deals with her family. "Steadfastly moving forward both personally and professionally, Bristol will be confronted by the many difficult life decisions people must make regarding parenthood, family, relationships and career."

Ten half-hour episodes have been ordered. No air date has yet been announced.

The Lifetime series will be the second reality show involving Palin. A previous Bio Channel series, in which she moved to Los Angeles with her son to live with fellow "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Kyle Massey, never aired. The series was to have shown Palin working at a small charity.
