Southwest staff member takes terminally ill child's chair

BEDFORD, NH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A terminally ill New Hampshire child on a Southwest Airlines flight was removed from his protective travel seat by an airlines staff member.
Nicholas Dainiak, 8, suffers from Batten disease and cannot hold his body upright. He and his parents were heading home from Walt Disney World when the incident with the airline occurred. Rather than miss the flight, the Dainiaks relented and handed over the chair. Nicholas’ parents held their son in an upright position for the entire three hour flight.
