Terror-linked Muslim group giving away Koran’s at public libraries
Note that this was published out of Cairo although the story is from California. via ICNA Free Qur’an Copies Dispel Stereotypes – Americas – News – OnIslam.net.
CAIRO – Offering an answer to skeptical Americans, a leading Islamic group has launched a new initiative to clear long-held misconceptions about Islam by handing out free copies of the holy Qur’an and Islamic pamphlets in front of public libraries.
“There’s a lot of misinformation about the Qur’an,” Mohammad Mazhar, a member of the Islamic Circle of North America, told Rancho Santa Margarita Patch on Friday, January 6.
“People mix up the culture of a country and Islam, which is a religion. … They hear it from the media, which doesn’t always tell the truth.”
Standing outside Rancho Santa Margarita Public Library in California, Mazhar offered free copies of holy Qur’an as well as Islamic pamphlets as part of ICNA’s ‘Why Islam’ program.
Under the initiative, the event extended over two day, Thursday and Friday, from 2 pm to 5 pm, with only one goal to share an explanation of Islam.
The offer of a free Qur’an was hard to miss at a table outside the front entry of the Rancho Santa Margarita Public Library.
Some of the pamphlets that were available for people who wanted to know more about the Islam, including its stance on terrorism and Jihad.
In addition to Rancho Santa Margarita, ICNA has been to four other libraries in the OC Public Library system.
ICNA sought permission to go to the libraries, but learned that it wasn’t necessary.
“I’ve asked them to let me know where they’re going to be and when so that I can make the staff aware that they have a legal right to be there,” Paula Bruce, assistant librarian for the Orange County Public Library system, said.
“So far, they have complied.”
Standing outside libraries, ICNA members wanted to reach out to intellectuals who were willing to know more about the true nature of Islam.
“We are looking for the readers,” Raihana Mazhar’s colleague at the Orange County, said.
“We’ve been in the malls, but when you’re in the mall, people are interested in shopping. At the library people are interested in reading, are more intellectual.” Mazhar agrees.
“Most people are well-educated and they want to know what Islam is, especially the youth,” he said.
Non-Muslim Americans are arrested when they attempt to use public space – see here, here, here and here for just a few examples. Where is the counter to this terror-linked dawah? If enough educated infidels go get them it will force ICNA to buy more and you can have a mass bonfire or whatever one does with a watered down Koran published just for gullible non-believers. Get busy.
More on the ICNA below, including ICNA’s Director of Islamic dawah ads in his own words:
We should use every opportunity presented or created to sensitize non-Muslim peers and school staff with Islam and establish an environment in which every where a non-Muslims turn, they notice Islam portrayed in a positive way and get influenced by it and eventually accept Islam with Allah’s guidance, insha Allah.
Sabeel Ahmed, 3 April 1998.
…a Muslim can’t enjoin in any aspect of Christmas in the disguise that Jesus is our Prophet too…
By greeting Christians with ‘merry Christmas’ we are legitimizing Christmas, by driving out on Christmas eve to witness the decoration of houses, we are appreciating bidah with our eyes, by placing our kids on the laps of Santa in the malls we are handing them in the hands of a fiend, by closing our Islamic Schools or shops during Christmas we are giving it our silent approval, by selling Christmas items in our shops, we are strengthening the pillars of Kufr…
Indeed Islam came to tear down the pillars of kufr and replace them with the pillars of Islam.
